Then we discovered the alien world of deep sea hydrothermal vents and their ancient inhabitants:: here, on our earth, in the depths of our oceans nutrients and minerals leach out of stone in a violent chemical reaction:: cold, dark seawater seeps into molten veins of magma running in subsea mountain ranges::: Chimneys and trenches and volcanoes form:: ancient microbes feed off these chemicals hosting a hidden ecosystem miles below any surface light::: thousands of creatures live here in the dark::

Europa, an icy moon of Jupiter, has a liquid ocean running under its frozen surface, making it very likely that this extraterrestrial body could host life::: the microbes of our ancestors are from space::: thriving in the abyss! Unaware of the volatile nature of their world! Is the life on our seafloor a remnant of our primordial existence? The base evolution of the beginning of it all?
